In 2008 and again in 2013, the Dixie State University Automotive Technology Department received the highest recognition that the National Institute for Automotive Service Excellence can give. The Department was granted ASE Master Certification in ALL eight of the Automotive Service areas. This is very prestigious and brings quality automotive training to the entire automotive industry in Southern Utah.

Dixie State Automotive is a great choice for all types of students, traditional or otherwise. Whether you are looking for a career in Automotive Mechanics or just want to learn more about vehicles in general Dixie is the place to go. They are not only accredited by the National Automotive Technicians Education Foundation (NATEF), but is also one of the few schools in Utah to be granted ASE Certification in all eight of the Automotive Services areas. Dixie’s automotive program has an Automotive Mechanics certificate that can be earned in just one year and also an Associates of Applied Science in Automotive Mechanics, which is a two year program. In addition, Dixie works with local high schools to provide classes in Automotive Mechanics. The facilities include ample space for equipment and fourteen bays for working on vehicles. All equipment is modern and maintained to NATEF standards in all areas.
